Random tulips have started popping up out of the grass. Restaurants have tables and chairs sitting out on the streets. Winter jackets are hung up in closets and sunglasses are dusted off for their premier. It’s the earliest glimpse of Spring The Netherlands has seen, ever, but at least for these few days- no one is worrying about it. They’re just enjoying it. If you’ve been to Amsterdam in the winter, you know that it can lack a bit of color and vibrancy (though it is still beautiful). I ended up taking way more photos than expected today, simply because of the surprising amount of colors already showing off around the city. Not to mention, everywhere I looked people were in love- holding hands, putting arms around shoulders, cuddling on benches, sharing snacks, laughing on bikes; dads and daughters, moms and their kids, couples of all ages, good friends. Amsterdam was smiling today, for the first day in many. So, I think it’s safe to say…Happy Spring, Amsterdam!
